first blog

Hi, my name is Ernest Esoarza. I am a kid born and raised in the Bronx. I went to a catholic high school, Fordham Prep. I played football for four years, ran track for a year and threw shot-put and discus for three years. I loved high school, senior year was great. I did no work and got good grades. I chilled on the football field cause i used to have so many free periods. Life was easy until May hit. I did not know what college i was going to end up going too. I got into a lot of schools like Syracuse, Rutgers, UMass, and others but i didn’t get enough money. I sent my deposit to UAlbany but i thought it was the ugliest school i have ever seen in my life. I applied to Baruch last minute and found out i got accepted mid-June. The school sucks at listening to voicemails and replying. I had to come in so many times to find out what was happening.

My top three concerns in college are grades first and for most. College is the first step to the rest of my life. If i get bad grades now, that’s messing with my future. Second, enjoying the school. I don’t want to be a kid that runs home after school everyday. I want to get involved in the school. Lastly, it might be transferring. I came into the school with the mentality that i wanted to leave as soon as possible. The school is better than what i thought it would be. I like it i’ll probably stay here all four years.

I think from my first year, ill get accustomed to managing my time. I will get used to being more independent and getting my work done on time. I also eventually want to use the pool in the school.
