Hello there! I am here today to tell you a bit about me, myself and I which is obviously the most important topic in the universe, right?? Haha Well anyway lets begin; Who am I? Considering how vague this question is let me respond with equally vague response; I am compilation of ongoing series of revelations. Honestly who asks these questions? What defines a person?
iRoles: I take on a role of student and an educator and a lifesaver at time. I am a swim teacher and a lifeguard at the prospect park YMCA here in Brooklyn , NY. Stop by and say “HI” if you get a chance. Teaching kids of various age groups is what I do to make a buck but really I don’t consider it work at times, since making a change in someone’s lives for the better is rewarding enough. Don’t get me wrong thought paydays are also nice I am a swimmer, began swimming during my sophomore year in high school but did not start competing until the junior year. Even though in my opinion I started it pretty late and I wish was involved in swimming at much earlier age I’m still glad i picked it up. I’m also a trainee in Shotokan karate, it just some thing that I love doing and I’ve been involved in for a while now. So don’t mess with me, ill kick you ass! loll
iPersona: I consider my self a pretty out going person but strangely enough that changes in different situations, but I’m guessing every person is like this. If you ever want to talk to me please be my guest and just say something funny or “HI”….that works also. (I promise I won’t bite) I love talking to all sorts of people; I think we all have some thing interesting to share and converse about.
iWorry: My biggest concern about college is keeping every thing up. At times I feel like the mythological Atlas; holding up the world. Like every one was telling me and as I was expecting college does take a lot of careful time management and organization, something that I am surely lacking but its nothing that can’t be worked upon. My other concern is my laziness and procrastination. When it comes to schoolwork I will put it off until the end of the universe, so having friends that keep me on task is really great.
iCollege: College is what you make it to be, no matter if it is commuter school like Baruch or a huge “stay away as far away from parents” state university. Even though those do tend to be just a tiny bit more fun, as I have experienced this weekend. Being involved as I already see is a huge part. I’m involved in swim team but I can’t escape the feeling that it dominates all the free time I have to join other clubs. But hey at least I could get a free massage if my body is aching, I don’t think clubs offer that. When I think about Baruch I don’t see how much its different from my high school, other then people are more mature and outgoing, but it certainly feels much more different and pleasant. Not going to lie the commute every day already kills me, I used to walk to all my previous schools. On the other hand it does give me time to catch up on a lot of belated reading.
iConclude: Overall I like college so far and its been fun to some extend. I love meeting new people and trying new things. College is changing me already for the better.
