Interesting article, especially intriguing is discovering that our government spends $10 billion a month during the Iraqi war. Additionally, the fact that almost $10 billion dollars is spent on the federal prison system every year is outrageous and simultaneously ridiculous.
As for the bulk of the article, a universal national service system sounds ideal but it will be surely difficult to implement. On theory, it makes sense and logical but practical use of it will be arduous. If executed, and hopefully so, the program will be the main factor in guiding America’s growth in the new era.
The article does rise some important issues such as an education corp – which I found very helpful at this time and day with our education system not ranked within the best 20 of the world. Education is an integral and essential part of our economy, government and general development of our capital. This idea was more fascinating to me.
