Hi guys. I’m Eunice. I am a student at Baruch College, which is pretty surprising to me actually. I guess this leads to a moment in my life when I felt empowered. That moment would be when I graduated high school. Because truthfully, I never thought that I’d get there. During high school, I was rebellious. I pretty much never went and just did whatever I wanted to do. I was actually going through a really tough time. I don’t want to elaborate on all that though, so basically, I’m saying that I’m proud that I’m here. I didn’t even graduate on time with my class. I had to go through summer school and another semester of high school before I got my diploma, It really wasn’t easy. But I pushed myself to make up the credits that I needed and got myself here to school today because I know that this is what my parents really wanted. After graduating from high school, getting thrown into college was just like woah! Reality check. In high school, my teachers gave me chance after chance. It didn’t take that long to realize that college isn’t like that. I have never appreciated my high school teachers more. The high school that I came from; the teachers are really amazing. I hope I can make all of them and my parents proud one day.
