Post three

I think that so far, my experience at Baruch has definitely lived up to my expectations. Coming from a private school where my hours were 8-5, it was definitely an easy transition coming into college where I went to school from 11-4 on most days. I thought college would be more serious but it still feels like high school. The classes are not too hard and most of my professors are pretty easy going. I expected to move into the city and be out every night but I found that I went out more often as a junior and senior in high school. The clubbing scene got old pretty fast but I’m still finding new things to keep myself entertained with when I go out at night.

My first semester at Baruch went very well. I didn’t have a hard time adjusting or finding any of my classes, which is something I worried about in the beginning of the year. I made many friends quickly and met older students who were able to help me out if I had trouble with anything.

If I had to do anything differently, I think I would have wanted to try and be less shy. There are many people who I met this semester that I probably would have gotten along with but being a shy and quiet person before I’m comfortable with my surroundings has held me back from doing so.

I don’t think I have really changed since starting at Baruch. My personality is very mellow and easy going, so It’s not like I have a loud personality that can easily change. I’m still lazy when it comes to school work and wait until the last minute to do it but as always, I make sure to get it done.
