Damn, first semester is already almost done… Its been an interesting experience to say the least. I’ve learned a lot about myself that I probably wouldn’t have learned in highschool. Throughout this first semester, ima have to say that the freedom and responsibility has been what I expected (taking into account that I commute). Also the people are more open to meeting new people and generally are just friendlier. I met a lot of good people this first semester and i am happy for that. I had hoped that what people said about not chilling as much wasn’t true but in a sense it is true and that’s a bummer. Hopefully as I continue my studies in Baruch that changes. lol If there was something I would do differently in my first semester, it would have to be not procrastinating and scheduling my classes ahead of time. If I were to have done that then I wouldn’t be so stressed out about picking my classes and I probably would’ve got a better grade in my classes. I haven’t changed much since I started my first semester, but one thing is for sure, I’ve become a little more independent and resourceful. I definitely started spending my money more wisely and I would say that I’ve become more open to the idea of being in a library for extended periods of time. All in all, this first semester has broadened my perspective on things and I hope that college in the end becomes a life changing experience for me.
