Community Service Self-Evaluation

1.) My community service required me to teach SHSAT math to middle school students. 2.) I was very against the idea of community service because being president of Key Club, i had to provide service to the community through out my whole senior year. 3.) It made me feel good because i was able to raise SHSAT scores for students, in order to get into the the specialized high schools. 4.) I learned that i don’t have patience for kids, students were very distracted and 180 Scholarship is legitimate. 5.) What stands out to me the most was when 180 Scholarship went on a field trip to the MET. I learned that students had the ability to appreciate art, including myself. 6.) Engaging in the community opened my eyes o what the middle schools weren’t teaching and how messed up our education system was. 7.) It did not relate to the Leadership and Service Session. 8.) It has turned my thinking upside down, it help me see why kids were getting so stupid in America. 9.) I have developed a close relationship with my students and it help me learn that you can never judge a book by its cover. 10.) I was satisfied because the investment i put into students was worth wild. i was a significance in their lives. 11.) No because i am very introverted. 12.) 180 Scholarship help me see a different picture in kids. Students are really in need of a better education and this institution is the place to be.
