Reflection

1. My experience at Baruch College lived up to my expectations. I went to Bronx Science which was one of the hardest years of my life. Thank god i graduated because college is way easier.
2. My semester went okay. English sucks but I’ll pass.
3. I would cut class more….no, seriously i would learn to take class more seriously. Maybe i might not have dropped out of calculus.
4. My sense of direction is better. I used to get lost because I didn’t know what train or bus to take. This didn’t happen this year.

Community Service Self-Evaluation

1. I helped give directions to marchers for Light The Night
2. I was surprised because I never did mandatory community service before
3. I felt bad. If I was getting paid for my time and energy, it would be a different story
4. I learned that I want to be paid for doing work.
5. I learned that standing on brooklyn bridge in the night can be cold
6. This did not relate to my education and as for the society, this proves why most people don’t do things without some compensation
7. It did not relate because I did get a leadership role
8. it did not change my mentality at all. Now I actually don’t like community service more.
9. I mentioned before that I realized I thought money should be given for all kinds of work.
10. No, I wasn’t satisfied because it was a depressing experience. To be stuck on a bridge at night and having a test the next day was a bad experience.
11. No I don’t think I would consider doing any more community service.
12. Volunteer work on a bridge at night was not a good experience.

Who do you think you are?

My name is Henry Kwun and I am an Asian American born right here in Queens, New York. I consider myself an athlete and I love to play basketball. I dislike studying for tests and reading books.

My top three concerns are how hard the tests are, how much homework, and how fast do the teachers teach. I just realized that classes are only for one semester which is about half a year. In high school it took a lot more time to get through a lesson so I’m still adjusting to the fast tempo.

The experience is almost the same. I lived far away from my high school which was in the Bronx so going to Baruch is actually closer to my house. People are almost the same.

My first year will make me be more responsible. Its time to get my head in the game and work hard to earn a decent grade.

Monologue

My name is Henry Kwun. I think the biggest challenge right now is the transition from high school to college. College is a lot harder and more challenging than high school. There’s less homework but more pressure to do good on tests. My favorite thing about college is that you get more freedom to do whatever you want to. There’s less time spent in class so more time to do what you want after school. My least favorite thing about college is English class. I have a problem with being late so I’m always late for English class. Then my professor tells me to see her after class. This happens every time.

One of my favorite things to do is play and watch sports. I’m watching the Cardinals-Rangers world series and I’m hoping that the NBA lockout is going to end soon so I can watch basketball. During the summer, I would play basketball every day but its getting harder since its more colder.

I’m afraid of breaking another bone. I once broke my left wrist. Even though it healed, it still bothers me. Sometimes it would get sore during cold weather.

I haven’t decided a major yet, but I might take a interest in business.

How's your ankles feel?
