Rubin Museum
I found the museum quite interesting because I’ve been fascinated with Buddhism for a while now; I like the idea of leaving your worries behind and just taking a moment to just be in touch with nature and your own mind. I even kept one of the little pamphlets that explained the different symbols in people and poses in the artwork to decorate my room. The other thing I found cool was the fact that the museum used to be a tenement. I visited the tenement museum a couple years back and to think that of the big transformation (appropriation) of the building was interesting.

Late… I know. I had a couple log-in problems but I finally figured them out.
1) I’m Alice Mitkova. I turn 18 on November 24th (on Thanksgiving this year). My favorite things to do are listen to and create music, write poetry (even though english has never been my strong point), and playing tennis. I went to Baruch b/c it was an affordable business school with a good reputation.
2) a. Surviving finals and midterms. b. Creating a good schedule for the second semester. c. Start to save up to hopefully have a semester abroad.
3) Honestly, aside from the amount of people, not much is different. Class structure is pretty much the same, but this may be just because the first semester is predetermined. This may change later on our overall Baruch experience.
4) I’ll be a little more independent. And since I’ll be 18, I can finally get into 18+ concerts (yay for me!).
