a. Talk about how your experience at Baruch lived up to your expectations? Not lived up to your expectations? Exceeded expectations?
My experience at Baruch exceeded my expectations. I didn’t think that the commuter students at Baruch would be so close with one another. There were also a lot of clubs at Baruch. The library was also very big and had a lot of things to offer to their students like computers, laptops, printers and books.
b. how well do you think your 1st semester went?
I think my first semester could have went better, but overall I think it was okay. I still need to learn how to keep track of time and not procrastinate.
c. what would you do differently this semester if you could do it again?
If I can redo this semester, I would study more often and do everything on time.
d. How have you changed since you started at Baruch college?
I learned how to take better notes.

Volunteer
I enjoyed volunteering for the Breast Cancer Walk last Sunday. We met in Central Park. It was hard finding the group, but thankfully Ari helped. I think I annoyed Ari for calling him a couple of times. It was a chilly morning, but our group still cheered on the walkers. It was fun cheering the walkers with my classmates.

Monologue
I am Chinese. I am a friend, a student, a counselor, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a daughter, and a sister. I grew up in the Lower East Side. My family is important to me. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I’m stuck as the middle child. I never get the privileges an older sibling would get. I never get the privileges a younger sibling would get either. But, it makes me more independent.

Hi, my name is Annie Chen. I was born and raised in Manhattan. I grew up in the Lower East Side and went to Brooklyn Technical High School. My top three concerns about my freshman year in Baruch are being organized, the workload, and finding an internship. The workload is definitely different in college than in high school. It requires me to be more independent and organized. Although it’s only a three day class schedule, I’m still trying to adjust to it. I hope the future will be fun and interesting.
