Freshman Year

  1. My first semester experience at Baruch College was pretty enjoyable. I had met quite some interesting people in my classes.  Honestly I wanted to dorm on campus instead of being stuck in the city with public transportation and other family problems.
  2.  As the semester went on I didn’t mind taking public transportation and staying in Baruch. I thought I did average at my first semester at Baruch and that there are still things I need to work on. For example my study habits, and learn to manage my time better.
  3. I don’t really have anything I would do over again other than put more time on study for math. And the other thing would be to change my math professor.
  4. I don’t think I have changed much since I have went to Baruch but I might have learned to be just a tiny bit less shy. I think I also learned to be a bit more organized since I have more papers and exams compared to high school.

monologue

I am probably just a typical Asian girl who is shy and loves to listen to music and watch dramas all the time. Although I may seem shy and quiet, I am actually very crazy, weird and fun all at the same time, once you get to know me. I don’t find myself very interesting at all because I don’t have skills or different interest like drawing, photography or even music that most people have. But there is one thing that I really like to do and that is to travel.

I have never been able to travel outside of the United States but I did have the chance to travel to many different states. I have been to Vermont, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, Washington Dc, Florida, and Hawaii. My most memorable place would be going to Boston, Massachusetts for the Boston Anime Convention with my two girlfriends. It was a trip for 3 days and 2 nights, although we weren’t that into anime we went for the experience. The first night we got there it was ballroom night where we had to dress up formally to attend. That night was the first time we learned how to ballroom dance from the gentlemen. Then on our second day we went through the convention to see if there were anything we were interested in buying. After that the most fun part came, it was to take pictures of different cosplayers and guess who they were dressed up as. On our last day we went back to the convention, hoping to see more cosplayers and sadly almost everyone went back to their normal outfits. Although it seemed short and as if not much things had happened it was a very fun experience. I was able to finally stray away from my family and have time to relax and have fun with my friends. Traveling is definitely what makes me who I am. Traveling is about experience and the more experience I get the more I find out about myself and who I really am.
