a. I think I’m a pretty friendly person if you’re not intimidating. Unless we’ve been friends for a while I talk a lot despite being the quiet person in class.

b. My top 3 concerns is maintaining a high GPA, getting enough sleep, and having time for friends. It’s not that easy maintaining a high GPA for me and I fear that I might not have the GPA I would like. Not all the classes I’m taking or will take next semester will be easy. Having enough sleep would help a great deal in keeping me awake in classes I find boring because it makes me fall asleep. I hope I don’t get addicted to coffee this semester! I have a lot of time between two classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so it takes up so much time since the commute back home takes about an hour. This would mean I have to stay up or save the work for the weekends instead of hanging out with some friends.

c. As of now, the long classes makes it a different experience. The large classes also makes a big difference which I kind of like because you can sit and listen to a lecture. I say that because Psychology is basically all lecture and it’s good that I’m interested

d. My first year in college would probably make me more responsible than I am now and make me more independent.

Hello There!

The Freshman Seminar is essentially a place where a group of freshmen can come together to meet new friends and learn about the basic things you should know as a student at Baruch. It helps you prepare for what’s to come and what to expect now as a college student in our classes in general. As of now we have worked on our writing skills with free writing. It allowed us to relax and not think in a sense of writing something that’s right or wrong but we could write whatever we want. In our next session we’ll be working on communication skills. Something I don’t look forward to but I want to improve at. I hope to learn and keep what I learn from Freshman Seminar.
