“Who do you think you are?”
Hey, I’m Emely! (That’s with an “e” not an “i”). Well to answer this question I would have to say that I’m a pretty laid back person to begin with. I’m nice and I don’t mind having people come up to me to initiate a conversation. I’m not the person to spark up a conversation though because I’m kind of shy. I’m Hispanic but my last name is Arabic and it comes from my great-grandfather.
My top concerns as a Freshman at Baruch College would be that I wouldn’t be to involved with the school just yet. Eventually I think I will get more involved. Another concern that I have is that I don’t know about all the things offered. I have a good idea but I will explore later on.
My Baruch experience differs from my high school experience in many ways. Baruch is much larger than my high school so there is a lot more to do and to explore. Getting to school is different because the ride to get to my high school was a 7 minutes ride but getting to Baruch is almost an hour commute. Another thing that is different is my schedule. At Baruch my schedule is flexible and I can get homework done in between classes.
My first first year at Baruch will change me because I will become more experienced with using public transportation and be a little more independent. I will learn to manage my time better. My first year will be full of new learning experiences!
