Look what you’ve done is the story of my life. It’s pretty much everything that’s been going on for me recently and I love Drake already so I have a biased opinion about all of his music so it just warms my heart. <3

What you need is an amazing song and it makes me happy.

The calm is self explanatory. Drake is pretty much venting about shit that's going on in his life and it's something that you can relate to.

It would probably be a little sketchy to have a picture of this but now that we’re registering for classes and freaking out about next semester… I would say talking to people at registrar doesn’t work. They say things like ‘if you can’t find any classes to take you can just take a semester off.’
-___- So yeah they don’t work haha! No offense :)

There’s this place called Atomic Wings across the street from the VC building, I only had it twice but it’s great for two reason! 1. They introduced me to WAFFLE FRIES! And 2. Because their waffle fries are AMAZING! It’s a little more expensive then dollar pizza but when you have a few extra dollars and your tummy is growling, that’s the place to be. I heard the chicken is outlandish also! :)

a. Tell us how your experience at Baruch College has lived up to your expectations? Not lived to your expectations?

Well Baruch college has lived up to my expectations but I never really had high expectations for the school because for me it was just a school I would attend to get credits and be able to transfer to Stony Brook. I actually enjoyed the time here though which is the best thing to do because this semester flied by and I still may transfer but I don’t regret attending Baruch.

b. How well do you think your first semester at Baruch College went

Socially it was great but academically it could have been better. I could have done better in class, I could have attend class more often but I slacked a little and worked a lot!

c. What would you do differently during your first semester if you could do it all again?

Nothing. Although it hasn’t been a perfect semester I’m not the type of person to think about what could have happened under different circumstances because then that would be regretting which is also not my thing.

d. How have you changed since you started at Baruch College

I haven’t changed much. I have just became hardworking. When you work until 12am and later every night and go to class the next day, your body gets used to it and you adjust to working your body more which is a good thing.

A. I don’t really think of who I think I am! Confusing enough yet? Awesome. Anyway most of the time that’s who I am an indecisive, confused 18 year old that ended up at Baruch sort of by mistake or maybe it was fate. Lol *shrugs* I’m Deyanira, i have a pretty cool name and a cool family and cute dog and interesting job and I go to a nice school. I usually do poorly on assignments because I should care more and I know that but it never helps. Before attending Baruch, all my spare time was spent practicing my instrument (band geek) or hanging with my friends (cool kid). Well to me, I’m just me if that’s a good enough answer. :)

B. Being that I’m writing this extremely late I’d choose my number one concern to be that I wouldn’t complete my blogs. I would have to say the reason why is because I mostly didn’t complete my blogs! I probably should have tried harder but blogs seem like the last thing you want to do after going to class from about 9:30am-4:30pm then pulling a 8 hour shift and getting home at 3 or 4 in the morning. I’m not complaining just trying to redeem myself lol. Another concern I had was that I wouldn’t enjoy Baruch, which I guess wasn’t true. In my opinion if I didn’t meet the people that I did in my block I probably wouldn’t have really enjoyed myself here which now that I look back seems like a reasonable concern. Hm, my last concern I would say was failing a class or dropping which I had every reason to be concerned about because I did end up dropping math because my teacher sucked and I’m pretty sure he has alzhiemers, sad.

C. To me, Baruch and high school are like the same thing. High school was probably more interesting and exciting to me because I had my music and I had people there to truly share my interest with. The reason Baruch seems so similar to high school is because I still live at home, I get out of class everyday later than I did in HS so it’s like HS plus Detention lol, and I have classes with the same people which is awesomely amazing but it’s a high school thing.

D. How will my first year change me? I don’t think college has changed me much yet. Maybe having to work and go to school has made me less lazy but other than that I’m the same as I was a few months ago.

Monologue

It all started in 5th grade. I was only 11 years old in my pretty low budget school. That year we actually had the luxury of having a music class and then is when I was introduced to instrumental music. Well like I said my school was not at all funded properly so we had no instruments but one day my music teacher had the idea of sending a letter home for our parents. The letter was sent to ask each of our parents to buy us a recorded which cost about five dollars at the time. I was pretty excited but I didn’t show it. When my mom bought me one like the next day, I definitely felt like the coolest kid in school because no one else had theres yet. Sadly we couldn’t play our recorders until everyone got theirs because my music teacher didn’t want anyone to feel left out. Eventually, I fell in love with my little plastic instrument. We didn’t learn anything more than ‘Marry had a little lamb’ but it was enough to satisfy me. I played it loud and proud everyday! Soon after it was time to go to Middle School, now my middle school was nothing like my elementary school. About 1,500 students attended my middle school as opposed to about the 100 kids that went to my elementary school. When my mom found out that Wagner had a music program she automatically signed me up, without even asking me. Of course, no one wants to be known as the band geek at 12 and 13 years old so I was actually pretty upset until I walked into that room and saw HUGE cabinets full of every instrument you could imagine! I wanted them all but I had no idea what any of them did or even where to begin so of course when my new music teacher, who played almost everything from flute to drums, asked me what I would like to play, I chose the instrument that looked most like my old plastic buddy- the Clarinet. Within a couple months with insane amounts of practice, I was first clarinet and I dreamed frequently of sitting first chair in an orchestra in the famous Carnegie Hall. From that point on music just became everything to me. I studied Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Vivaldi at home and drove my mom crazy. Try listening to someone learning to play a wind instrument every single day and I promise going death will sound appealing to you. Little did I know I would go to high school and major in music, and finally by my senior year open my first show as first chair, tuning ‘my’ band and bowing to my audience, the feeling was so intense that I will never forget it and to think it all started in 5th grade.
