Museum visit

The Rubin museum we visited the other day was more interesing than I thought. I did always want to see Buddha statues in person and I was able to. I really didnt expect much anything but after seeing the statues and other paintings in person was a whole different experience for me. Out of all the statues and paintings the one that grabbed my attention was the Mask that people wore for ritual dances. The mask was really big and although it was for ritual dances it seemed too scary and intimidating. Also, when i was looking around the paintings I felt like I was in China because I saw some movies which the background was based on China and there were many paintings and statues in the movie. It was a bit unusual but it was alot more fun and exciting than i thought it would be.

First semester…

Man my first semester at Baruch College was fun, annoying and loved meeting new people. I have to say I met some funny people and met many friendly people. I want to thank all of you guys being so nice to me and friendly. However, man I have to say I did not do so well for some classes…. I learned time management is REALLY hard and REALLY important. I am trying to pick my self up starting NOW. If I can go back to the beginning of my semester I would try to scehdule myself to study on certain time ALL the time not just once or twice. Coming to Baruch and as time passed by I grew up alot in many ways. I learned to act more maturely and gained more responsibility. I always knew life wasnt easy but actually being in a difficult position I understood completely and found ways to overcome. But all in all I really really enjoyed my first semester in Baruch college and the freshman seminar I think we had funny and many friendly people in our block. I want to thank all of you guys and Maricruz and Valeria it was really nice to know you guys and as i am writing this it feels like I won’t be able to see you guys as much or get to know you. Although it was a short time it was nice to know you guys. Thank you again guys!

Monologue

Hey guys~~~ haha im gonna be completely honest first of all i really do not want to do this blog but! yeah after reading some of you guys post they were REALLLLY interesting and i thought i should do it as well.(i was going to anyway between because we have to LOL). Well anyways my FEAR at first was professors or INSTRUCTORS ending class late( I still am by the way) but with all due seriousness my fear is failure. I am really worried and scared for my future and before I take another step I always over think about the things that will be happening and things that will happen. I always question my self, doubt my self and ask “What if I dont make it..Will I be able to pick my self up from the beginning…?” But although I have these doubts i try to motivate my self through some famous sayings. I forgot who said but this baseball player said “When you win you learn little but when you lose you learn everything”. This basically means that when you lose or fail at something you will be able to grasp all the experience that one can get so losing or failing isnt necessarily a bad thing. In fact it is a very good thing and by failing and failing and failing you are becoming one step closer to becoming successful. I know alot of famous sayings for many themes ( yeah im a bit weird but whatever im gonna be my self HEHE) so if you guys are interested just talk to me. Thanks and bye~~

Terry Baik

Hey guys! My name is Euiin Baik but you guys can call me Terry. Well first of all I am South Korean and came to America about 11years ago. I speak fluently in both Korean AND English so feel free to talk to me in either language. Well first of all I really really like going to No rae bang which is Karaoke hehe I love listening to Korean music and don’t get me wrong I like American music as well but I have more knowledge in Kpop then American songs so if you guys are interested in Kpop lets go to a Korean karaoke. Hmm… also I am pretty quiet at first and do not really talk to people but in short time and I see what kind of person you are I am very talkative and I think I am a really good friend. So don’t be shy and be afraid you guys can say hi!. My top 3 concerns about my freshman year is time management, work and work!. So I have a job on weekends which leaves me no time to do anything on weekends and I only have weekdays to do my school work. I am worried about if I can keep up with everything and manage my time to accomplish all the goals. In addition since I commute It takes almost an hour to get to Baruch so back and forth takes 2hours of my lovely daytime. It really sucks. Well aside from that so far I can definitely feel the difference in high school and College. I complained about the work in high school but it is a joke compared to college. College really is the real deal. My first year in Baruch will definitely make me a better person in many ways such as managing my time, spending my money, and basically become a really matured and responsible person.
