Baruch so far has been what I expected. The work has been not so bad honestly. I have been getting good grades except for Art History. I received a 64 on the first test but just received a 97 on a paper so I’m hoping I can pull a comeback. Everything else has been fine. I love the new friends I have made and I feel like our block has gotten close and we can consider every single one of us a friend.
If i could change one thing I would probably try to go to sleep earlier. I missed a lot of early classes or walk in extremely late. For now it has not effected my grade but I will need to change my habits so it never effects my grades. Honestly I wouldn’t change anything else.
Baruch has made me a lot more responsible and mature. I need to follow a schedule that contains work and school and time management is key. Baruch has also made me study a lot more than I used to. Writing 5 page papers has become an easy thing now for me because we are always doing them. In high school anything over 3 pages was like WOAH how am i going to do that?
I look forward to second semester and I hope I continue to receive good grades and make something out of my college career.

Dear Professor Teacher,
I am currently having problems understanding the material we have been doing on the east coast tribes of Northern America. If I can possibly schedule a meeting with you to help me grasp the information better it would be gladly appreciated.
Thanks
My Monologue :
My whole life revolves around sports. It my have all started from my father. My dad was a great basketball and baseball player who was family friends with many iconic sports figures. When I was younger I was a really good pitcher and enjoyed playing almost everyday. At around 14 or 15 years old I found out that I had a problem with my arm. Soon after that my playing days came to an end but I still have a strong liking for many teams such as the Mets, Nets, Giants, and Devils. I was a season ticket holder last year for the Devils and I try to attend at least 20 Mets games a year. I love my teams to death. I schedule my days around their games, have jerseys and many other items. Sports are what I live for!

Hi my name is Jeremy Durbin. I am a very nice and humorous person that enjoys the laughs in life. I seem to always know how to make someone laugh or make a dull moment a little lighter. I am a sports fanatic. My favorite teams are the Mets, Devils, Giants, and Nets. I follow these teams all year around. I am always looking to go to a Devils or Mets game and can not wait for the Barclays Arena to open up in Brooklyn so I can go watch my Nets. I also am a sneaker head who collects and sells sneakers.
My very first concerns about college were grades and making close friends. Being at a commuter school and hearing about how they work it seemed like Baruch would be like high school all over again. Pertaining to the grades, I was a little scared when I read how rigorous some people said the work load was in Baruch.
So far here at Baruch, I have no complaints whatsoever. The classes have not been impossible as many people made them out to be and I enjoy the people here better than I did at high school. I have already made a group of good friends and I think that will benefit all of us with our grades. I love my schedule since I am a person who doesn’t wake up very well. One thing that surprises me about Baruch is I have always dreaded getting up for school and for Baruch I really don’t dread coming here. The opportunities Baruch offers keeps me intrigued to learn more.
I think over my 4 years at Baruch I will become more of an all around person. I feel Baruch stresses not only knowledge but people skills to be able to network and open up opportunities for yourself. I have always believed that being a people person and being able to communicate well would help more in life than necessarily being extremely smart. I feel like when I look back, I will be able to say WOW, I have learned a lot here!
