Second Workshop
Okay so the second workshop was called “Transition from College to Career with ease!” I thought the workshop was alright but once again, couldn’t it have started later so that we all could’ve gotten lunch first, instead of us starving for an hour and a half? And I noticed that one of the presenters, Herbert Harriet, kept saying “You know…” a lot whenever he talked, lols? xD

Baruch Voices – Review
The performances at Baruch Voices IV were very interesting. There was one performer that stood out the most, I forgot his name, (and not wanting to sound racist) but the black guy was the most enthusiastic performer of them all. It would’ve been better if the performance actually started earlier, considering a majority of us did not have lunch yet. That is all that I have to say about this.

MONOLOGUE
Chocolate makes me happy. I guess that’s why they say chocolate are a woman’s best friend. Err, that’s supposed to be diamonds, not chocolate. I still love chocolate though and the feeling that it gives is just so soothing. This taste just calms my nerves. To me, the most important thing is singing/listening to music. Music also helps to ease away my sorrows and helps make my troubles go away. My personal motto/theme song? I guess my personal motto would be “Make do of what you have,” meaning work with whatever you got. I believe this is the way of life. I identify myself as a very random person. If I am bored, I will start making random noises or I start to dance random dances. I play the role of a daughter, sister, and granddaughter. I listen to parents and grandparents and I have to take care of my sister’s needs. My friends and family are important to me because family always give you helpful advice on how to get through life and friends are there for social support. The new friends I have made are all cool and unique in their own ways and being with them is fun and entertaining.

Who I think I am – Jacqueline’s post
Let’s see, who I am…Well, I know for one thing is that my personality is very random; though I tend to come off as shy at first, eventually I become kinda crazy and loud xD I will try to be more outgoing but with less craziness. My top 3 concerns about freshman year at Baruch college… 1) time management because afterall, we’re freshman and we’re still adjusting to college life, how it works and all. 2)passing classes? Well, I’m not worrying about most of the classes but math worries me the most because I haven’t taken math in like 2 years and the math professor can’t teach…nor use a computer correctly ><” 3)umm…I guess the 3rd concern would be interesting class topics? I don’t know but I guess English class would be a lot more interesting if the readings weren’t in archaic language and if the professor would stop talking in tangents. So far, I think my Baruch College experience is different in my high school experience is that the professors don’t teach you; you have to teach yourself (hence why the math professor isn’t so good). And I thnk that my first year in college will change me socially, I guess? Not sure. Maybe meet new people and stuff like that. xD
