voices 4
After attending voices 4 I have become aware that a lot of people have come from many different back grounds than I. Many live much worse life experiences and some not as bad. This makes me more aware of the people around me and be open to help.

money managemet workshop
I learned a lot about credit and how useful it will be during and after college. I also learned that making some changes in my life style can make drastic changes financially such as buying bubble tea which is $4 i could buy 4 water bottles with that or just save $4.

museum visit
the most interesting part of the museum is the walk in temple they have on the second floor. The Shrine is composed of statues of deities all donated to the museum. All of the statues are without their original jewels because over the years people have sold the jewels in times of need. Most of the statues are hollow so the owners can hide valuables inside it.

Monologue
College, The final frontier. The beginning of the end of my journey as a scholar. For one to venture this far is a great feat that requires great knowledge. This territory explored by many others before me and the many more who have never reached this point in life. The place I have heard about all my life from my parents and teachers as well as other students. I have finally reached it and will embrace it for myself. Since the start of elementary school I have always heard the same thing over and over, repeated at each institutions by many teachers. They say Junior High is so much more different than elementary school, in Junior High i am told High School is very challenging, and and finally in High School teachers tell so many stories of high school the make College sound like a nightmare. For each of these institutions I have walked in expecting something from one of Stephen Kings novels. But it was never this case Each of these institutions all have the same feel as each other its a place for learning it is only a nightmare if you allow it to be. For each of these institutions I have walked in with a pen as my spear and a book as my shield and I have Challenged these monsters that people have made them out to be and guess what I survived I won. I beat these Beasts with help from fellow Comrades who bore with me through these uphill battles with a strong will to go on and a sharp mind to overcome the challenges faced ahead. With each victory I have received a trophy to mount on my wall and I have a spot just for my next diploma.

Light The Night
The light the night event was a fun event going together as a group of friends who have been through half a semester together. Some new friendships were made. It was my first time walking the brooklyn bridge. The walk was both exausting and painful as Vans are not the best shoes to wear when your on your feet alot.

A Time To Serve
“A Time to Serve” is about the republic we have have in america. These days people despite feeling not as confident in our government, people began to feel that they themselves can create change in the world. Some by joining the army after 9/11 and others volunteering. Our government isn’t running the way it should be the rich are becoming richer while the poor stay poor. Everyone pays taxes and no one uses all thier rights.

Living The Adult Life
Who am I? I am Asian.
Who am I? I am a Friend.
Who am I? I am a Boy Friend.
Who am I? I am the son of 2 Chinese immigrants who came to this country in the pursuit of happiness.
College when I think about college I think strange people, bigger workload, mean professors, less sleep. But in reality these people are just like me, the workload isn’t as big as i thought it would be considering i had no home work all year last year, the professors aren’t mean they’re actually nice and the amount of sleep is the same as high school if not more. However my college life isn’t all carefree i still have trouble with pre-cal, and relationships.
There is more freedom, longer breaks between class, and good friends.
I have matured so much since i started college. I have been spending more time outside after school then going straight home to do home work. Making friendships that I hope will last a life time.
