Who Do You Think You Are?
a. Who do I think I am? I am Kris Gardner! And like the real Chris Gardner, I am on the pursuit of happiness. We are all given the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness…but I am currently unhappy with the way my life has come out. I’m not a fan of where I live even though I respect it. Me and Chris have quite a few things in common, but to keep it terse, I am a young black man with an interest in Accounting; I’m intelligent, I love to eat, and oddly enough I don’t even know much about myself yet to really characterize myself honestly, but I know that I am someone who desires to succeed and remain positive in an environment where the chance of success is bleak.
b. My concerns is managing my time between my full-time night job and my full-time school career ; I don’t want my grades to suffer. I already lost my girlfriend 3 days ago so there goes the relationship aspect. And my last concern is meeting new people, I feel all alone on this campus, but I don’t have time to meet people because of my hectic schedule.
c. Well, I’ve been out of high school for 5 years but high school was extremely fun; and I used to cut class all the time and still get A’s…I can no longer do that in school (well technically you can if the course is based solely on test scores and not attendance), but…it’s not something I plan to do. Also, now that I have a full-time job along with school, my time spent at the school will be very short; only to attend class and maybe go to a faculty member for something.
d. My first year at college will make me much more responsible between juggling two of the most important, fundamental aspects of living: work and education on a full-time basis.
