Monologue

I’m the biggest under achiever ever. Back in high school, at the end of the first semesters me and my cousin would look at our grades and see what classes we could cut. We would try to do good during the first half of the year and then the second half we would cut and fail. When the good grade and failing grade averaged out, we would get a passing grade. Im very lazy and Baruch is stressing me out because of the work. Also the high expectations from my girlfriend and mother, gets me crazy too. But during chinese new year i get to get away from all my troubles, I am a proud member of the chinese freemasons athletics club, a lion dance club in chinatown. All of my friends are part of this club and chinese new year is a time where we all get together. The felling i get when im with the guys is great and i cant wait the time of the year to come again. But now i still got to struggle with school.

time to serve

This article is about how the government is failing to ensure what was promised when the founders set the foundation for the United States. As the article states nowadays people seem to care less. Only half of the citizens vote and everybody just pays taxes. Their plan to change this has to come with incentives to the citizens because in today’s world, Americans would rather volunteer than be told what to do and so because of this it makes it harder for the government to better itself because there has to be teamwork between the people and the government.
