     Times always go through as fast as water. I already spent almost a semester time to know about Baruch College. At beginning of semester, I was full of nervous and expectations to attend to the college. And I remembered that I hope that I could improve my English skill, make more friends, get a high GPA and get accustomed to the new environment in college at that time. After first semester in Baruch College, I found those expectations were really close me. I am pleasure to encounter more friends who always encourage and help me when I had some troubles.

     So far, I could hand out all classes that I have. Through whole semester at Baruch college, I realized how different experience and more pressures to students who studied in college. The first and most important thing that I learned is self-awareness, which means you have to remind yourself in any time. For example, you have to make a schedule and take time to study outside of class by yourself.

     There is no doubt that I have some obstacles during Baruch College. If I could make choice again, I would drop philosophy class immediately when I felt it was difficult to me. Even though I dropped it on the last day to drop class, but I felt like pity about it, because I already spent a lot time to overcome it. However, I cannot regrets to make this decision because of a rational choice for my GPA. As we know, it was impossible to exit a medicine call “regrets” in this world. Therefore, we should think about it carefully when we make choices or decisions.

      During those months, I believe that I have got some changes since I started at Baruch College. First of all, I began to make a plan which try to push myself to follow my schedule to do everything. I found that it was helpful, efficient and convenient to work and study. On the other hand, I made effort to communicate with my classmates in English in the class. The college provides a suitable environment to participant communication skills; I do not want to miss this opportunity.

     In conclusion, even though there were some problems in college life, I still enjoy first semester at Baruch College.

What kind of person I want to be? I never stop asking myself this question, but I still cannot get a satisfied answer for myself. I think that the only way which I have a content solution through my thinking and experiences to explore the world and to pursue my own well-being.

Even though I have been in The United State for 3 years, I am afraid of speaking English in front of people or in public now. I tried to practice English to be better, but it came too slowly. No matter it will take how long time, I will persist in studying the communication skill.

What kind of challenges in Baruch College? So far, everything looks like so good for me, but still there are some problems. My biggest challenge is Philosophy class, because I really confused what are exactly the professor talk about. Even I already have prepared the lesson before the class; I also did not understand it. However, I will try my best do it. On the other hand, I am pleasure to make more friends in the college. They always help me with enthusiasm and give me a power and encourage when I have troubles. I really appreciate your guys from bottom of my heart.

As the image shows that my personal quote is “Never ever give up”. The quote always reminds me that keep perseverance to do anything when I fall into the dilemma every time. It inspires me to believe that tomorrow will be better because the sunshine always come out after the stormy rain

The human is a drop water in the ocean when compared to the infinite expanse of the universe. Even though I am an ordinary people as negligible as a grain of sand, I believe that I am a unique person who has different experiences and challenges in the world. Also, I am a tough girl who always takes an optimistic attitude to face life no matter what kind of obstacles or calamities would befall her.

As a freshman at Baruch college, there are three concerns about my college life in first year. The first and the most important concern is my English skill. English as a second language for me, it probably become an stumbling block when I study in various academic areas . I wish that I have more participations and opportunities to improve my English level during studying in Baruch College. The second concern is GPA, I already heard some complains which it is hard to get a high GPA in college. I think that getting a good grade depend on what kind of learning attitudes you take. However, I will try my best to do it. Finally, I am afraid that whether I am able to accommodate the new college life. It is unacquainted for me to accept numerous strange things, like new relationship, environment and different academy. Anyway, I am firmly convinced that I have ability to adopt new life with my change and endeavor.

Obviously, I realized that Baruch College experience different from my high school experience. There are full of pressure surrounding me in the college. The pressure is not only form an overload of studies, but also it is made by competitive force between me and other student. Therefore, those tension could become an motivation to encourage me to keep forward , develop and change.

Ultimately, I expect that I will make my English skill to be advantage in the first college year. Additional, I am eager to expand my relationship net through making more friends in order to inspire myself to study merits from those persons. However, I look forwad to completing my achievements at Baruch College.
