Step 6: Taking Action

Now you are ready for the final step: action.

Ask yourself:
What can I do to move forward: goal setting, strategizing and taking action.

This is step six. Why? This is because without the first five, you would be paralyzed. It is now that you can create a strategy to overcome the specific adversity you are facing and find ways to make a comeback. In my classes, I refer to this step as “Strategize and Exercise” – because it probably isn’t a one-time event.

  1. This is my favorite topic. There is a saying “action speaks louder than words” in that people that work hard succeed in the future. We must take action and do what we can do because we learn something new and put all our troubles away. A person that is given an important task would not leave it at the last minute hoping it would go away, he takes initiative and just do what he is given.

  2. Being able to take actions and make your words and thoughts come alive is a very fascinating thing. Many people would make a promise or have a list of To-Do but never really accomplish them. I don’t know about other people but I have a list of things I wanted to do on my “to-do” list but I don’t really have a chance to get all of them done. After reading some of these quote, I should at least read through my list. 😛

  3. This topic is a rather interesting one mainly because many of the panelists that we have had the honor to listen to, bring up the “risk to succeed” terminology and relate it to action. To take action, you need to take risks. I personally feel, taking action is more than just accomplishing something, it’s more of being able to do something out of nothing and step out the comfort zone that you typically revolve around.
