  1. In all honesty, everyone has something they are scared of, whether it would be the monster in our closet or getting a bad grade in the exam later. There is no such thing as someone who is not afraid of anything. Fear is an illusion or a barrier that is preventing us from seeing the truth. We face our fears to accomplish our goals.

  2. Everyone has fears, but overcoming them will help you. When people make you fear them, it usually is because they fear you and what you are capable of when you do not fear them. They try to get you off your guard and seem better, when they really are not. Not fearing them will help us accomplish anything we want.

  3. Thanks for sharing this wisdom, Jack.

Fear is a normal human emotion which keeps us alive. However, imagined fear [fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of the unknown, etc.] keeps us from living.

Awareness and reframe are needed to move through imagined fear, which can otherwise keep us stuck:
    1) Notice the sensations in your body and be with them – what you resist persists
    2) Acknowledge that you are not in any real danger
    3) Realize that your brain interprets new situations as scary because you don’t yet have a reference for the outcome and usually goes to worst case scenario when the stakes are high. What’s the likelihood of that happening?
    4) See fear as an indication that you are stretching beyond your comfort zone – congratulations!
    3) Take action and keep moving forward if you want to grow and move towards your dreams
