Dear Peer Review Group,

I would like to thank you guys for taking your time to review my writings and gave thoughtful feedbacks throughout the semester as well as suggestions on how I could improve my paper. In my writing process, you helped me learn that I could always improve on my paper because you read it from an audience’s perspective and that is different from mine, which is good because then I would know which part of my writing confuses the reader or does not flow. In the feedbacks I received from Professor Graves, I would say the themes in the feedbacks were helpful and useful because it’s like a pointer that gave me a direction on where and how I should add on to sections of my paper and to go in deeper with more details. Something that I want to continue to improve about my writing process is to be aware of when I make a transition to a new section, to avoid bringing up something random or sometimes I would end a section with around 2-3 sentences which is not enough so I should work more on expanding my thoughts at the end.

From my topic, I learned that most immigrants face similar issues and it does take time for them to really adapt and settle in to the new country. For this paper, my final plans are to connect all three units of my writing so it is read like one whole paper. I would most likely use subtitles. If I needed to keep adding on to this paper, I would incorporate some personal experiences to unit 3 research. About the writing process, I have learned that it is always possible to add more to my paper and that as I write, I noticed that the required number of word count was easily reached without even expecting that I would go over the required word count. Moving forward, my academic intentions are to proofread my paper and check on the structure of my sentences as well as grammar because I would always switch the use of past tense and present tense in my paper. Also, I have to learn how to cite the sources correctly. For these intentions, I hope I accomplished them in my final paper and I hope to improve on these skills also to be used in any future writings.
