10/1: Show & Tell

Due today:

  • 750 words, with copies for your peer group, towards your rhetorical analysis assignment. Bring those copies to class.
  • Have read for discussion: Richard Straub’s “Responding—Really Responding—to Other Students’ Writing”
  • Be prepared to briefly present on your artifact—if possible, bring it to class or have it or some reference to it accessible.

Today’s class will be a kindergarten-style show and tell session. What are you writing about? Why is it important to you? What’s important about it? How do you interpret its significance? You’re reporting to us  what work you’ve done so far towards you first core assignment.

Be prepared to pull up something related to your artifact in little time, and generate a question you’d like us to answer as we consider your artifact.
