  • List each note you’ve chosen (Note 3: …) and describe how each note—and the research it represents—adds to the the text. What does the note help the author explain or articulate? What purpose does it serve?
  • Write five research questions (these can be either questions of facthow many clothing items does this company produce each year?—or of interpretationhow have critics responded to the violence in this film?) about your writing so far. These questions can come from any of the writing you’ve done to-date.
