- A few discourse communities I consider myself to be a part of are Teenagers, Bodybuilders, and Bengali. The discourse communities that can relate to my cultural artifact, Naruto, would most likely be Teenagers, and Bodybuilders. In the anime, Naruto, there are a lot of ideas and situations that pertain to the ideology of both teens and bodybuilders. For example, the crucial training of a ninja in order to become the best ninja possible can be closely related to the work ethic of a bodybuilder. Also, the challenges faced between two friends and the jeopardy of their relationship that is seen in Naruto can associate with the struggles of teenagers. Through personal experience, I feel closely connected to the community of Teenagers. There have been times where I would get into a lot of conflict with one of my closest friend, which usually creates a lot of tension between us. The problems we get into is very similar to Naruto and Sasuke’s. With one friend trying to help the other, but they do things the way they want to, even when it’s not the smartest decision.
- Someone who won’t be able to comprehend what I am saying isn’t at the age to understand the difficulties of a teenager. Basically, anyone below the age of 14 won’t figure the struggles until they’ve finally reached a certain age. Children are usually very easy going when it comes to a conflict between two friends. The solution to their problem is very obvious and easy to reach. However, for teenagers, it’s much more complicated. This is the time of our lives where we make stupid decisions and try to justify them. Others may come to tell you that what your doing is wrong, but you act as if you have control over your actions and understand the consequences. However, you just continue doing it. As a child, I never thought that being a teenager would consist of so much drama. I always thought of them as “cool” and felt as if they had no worries in life. All of this changed once I became a teenager.

How does the slow rate of pursuing becoming ninja relate to the rate of which you achive your goals in bodybuilding? Relate that to how you have learned to develop as a person.
