A few discourse communities I am apart of would be the Twitch community , being a Baruch student and being a male as well

Twitch is something that is big with Overwatch and competitive gaming overall. Many people, including me, would watch Overwatch League or Overwatch League pro players on Twitch  . It is the only way we can enjoy watching others play this video game. Many people view watching streamers on Twitch as a form of entertainment, and I wouldn’t disagree. There’s many stories of people becoming famous and rich off of twitch , such as the Fortnite streamer “Ninja”.

Someone who would not normally watch twitch should understand that there’s a certain language we have, and that’s shown with the emotes we use and the way we react to certain scenarios . It’s also we all can come to at the end of a long day to watch our favorite streamer play. It’s not like we all have one person we all go to , everyone has their own streamer that they like to watch. I only been exposed to twitch for about 14 months and it hasn’t really changed since I first started watching except the fact that the community is only expanding. This is shown in many ways because all my favorite streamers continue to grow and have more viewers watching them as the days go by.
