Some discourse communities I take part in is the gaming community, the sports world, T.V. shows, and children movie enthusiasts. My  artifact(Toy Story 3) is strongly associated with the discourse community of children movie enthusiasts. I feel like they would say that Toy Story 3 is one of the best children movies out there because of its strong plot and connection with audience. I would agree with their claim because I feel Toy Story 3 is a masterpiece and the fact that the makers of the film are able to connect with not just children that watch this, but adults as well, which is why the film is so popular. I had a friend in high school who loved Toy Story and me and him would gush over how Toy Story made us happy whenever we were depressed. I believe that someone outside my discourse community would need to know the tropes that are associated with movies like Toy Story in order for them to understand why particular things are occurring in the movie. My relationship to the discourse community hasn’t really changed that much. I still watch children movies, just not that much anymore due to school work and other commitments. Usually my day consists of me doing school work and studying, but when I am not I am watching clips of my favorite children movies.
