Brazil’s Ex-President “Lula” accused of being the “maximum commander” in Petrobas corruption scandal
Prosecution Coordinator of ‘Operacion Lava Jato’ accused ex-president of leading this kickback scheme; saying he committed the crimes of corruption and money laundering.

RIO DE JANEIRO- The judicial circle around Brazil’s former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is closing in on him. The Brazilian federal prosecutors that are investigating this multimillion dollar Petrobas corruption case, formally accused for the first time Brazil’s most popular former president (2003-2010) yesterday of being the main leader in the network of bribes that started with the company state oil.
Prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol, coordinator of this investigation named ‘Operacion Lavo Jato’, stated at a press conference in Curitiba that “Lula was the maximum commander in the Petrobas corruption scheme”. These investigations started a little over two years ago are were concentrated there and has shaken up Brazil’s political and business world.
