Adopted by the Security Council at its 7815^th meeting, on 10 December 2016

The Security Council,

Emphasizing the need for peace and justice, and the determination to preserve sovereignty, political independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine,

Recalling that all member States, when accepting the Charter of the United Nations, have contracted the duty of acting in conformity with the Charter,

1. Insists that adherence to the United Nations Charter principles requires peace and respect towards the territorial integrity of States be established,

2. Urges Ukraine to authorize the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to hold a new referendum in an environment of genuine peace and public stability in order to give a legal standing the decision of the citizens of Crimea,

3. Decides to remain seized of the matter.

 El Consejo de Seguridad,

 Destacando la necesidad de que las Naciones Unidas y la comunidad internacional apoyen la consolidación de la confianza mutua entre la República Popular Democrática de Corea y la República de Corea,

Reafirmando sus anteriores resoluciones pertinentes, incluida la resolución 1927 (2010),

1. Denuncia el ataque contra el Cheonan, buque naval de la República de Corea, como una violación brutal de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Derecho del Mar;

2. Autoriza la inspección adicional del incidente de Cheonan por el equipo internacional de expertos cuyo mandato es aclarar el asunto;

3. Reitera la exigencia subrayada en su resolución 1874 (2009) de que la RPDC vuelva a las conversaciones de las seis partes de manera inmediata y sin condiciones previas;

4.            Deciden seguir ocupándose activamente de la cuestión

Poniendo de relieve la necesidad en la necesidad de que las Naciones Unidas y la comunidad internacional apoyen la consolidación de la confianza mutua entre las dos partes,

Recordando sus anteriores resoluciones pertinentes, incluida la resolución 1927 (2010),

1. Condena el reciente ataque contra el Cheonan, buque naval de la República de Corea (RPDC), como una violación brutal de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Derecho del Mar;

2. Autoriza la inspección del incidente de Cheonan por un equipo neutral de inspectores internacionales cuyo mandato es aclarar el asunto;

3. Exige que los gobiernos de la República Popular Democrática de Corea y de la República de Corea (ROK) cumplan su resolución 1927 (2010) sobre la controversia y la tensión causada por el incidente de Cheonan;

4. Reitera la exigencia subrayada en su resolución 1874 (2009) de que la RPDC vuelva a las Conversaciones de las Seis Partes inmediatamente y sin condiciones previas;

5. Decide seguir ocupándose activamente de la cuestión.

The Security Council,

Emphasizing the need for the United Nations and the international community to support consolidation of mutual trust between the two parties,
Reaffirming its previous relevant resolutions, including resolution 1927 (2010),
1. Denounces the recent attack on the Cheonan, naval ship of the Republic of Korea (ROK) as a brutal violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea;
2. Authorizes inspection of the Cheonan incident by a neutral team of international inspectors whose mandate is to clarify the matter;
3. Demands that the governments of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and th ROK comply with its resolution 1927 (2010) on the dispute and tension caused by the Cheonan incident;
4. Reiterates the demand stressed in its resolution 1874 (2009) that DPRK return to the Six Party Talks immediately and without preconditions;
5. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.

Poniendo en relieve la necesidad de que las Naciones Unidas y  la comunidad internacional apoyen la consolidación de una mutua confianza entre la República Popular Democrática de Corea (RPDC) y la República de Corea (RDC),

Reiterando sus resoluciones anteriores, incluyendo la resolución 1927(2010),

1.           Denuncia el ataque al Cheonan, buque de guerra de la República de Corea, como una brutal violación de la convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el derecho del mar,

1. Autoriza que se  inspeccione a fondo el incidente del Cheonan por un equipo internacional de expertos cuyo cometido es aclarar el asunto;

1. Reitera la exigencia subrayada en la resolución 1874 (2009) que la República Popular de Corea  regrese a las conversaciones entre las Seis Partes inmediatamente y sin condiciones previas,

1. Decide seguir ocupándose activamente de la cuestión.

The Security Council,

Reaffirming the necessity for justice, and the determination in protecting sovereignty, political independence, territorial integrity and unity of Ukraine.

Affirming that all of the members have accepted the conditions of the Charter of the United Nations and confirm to act on what is established in the Charter.

1. Insists on compliance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations requiring peace and respect of the Nations territorial integrity.
2. Urges Ukraine to authorize the Crimea realizing a new referendum and a true show of peace, stability and regain the trust of the citizens of Crimea.
3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.

The Security Council,

               Emphasizing the need for just peace and determination to preserve sovereignty, political independence, unity and the territorial integrity of Ukraine,

              Reaffirming all member countries, upon accepting the United Nations Charter, have taken the commitment to act in accordance with what is established in the charter,

1. Insists on the compliance that the principles of the United Nations Charter require to establish peace and respect for the territorial integrity of all countries;
2. Urges Ukraine to authorize the Crimean Peninsula for an implementation of a new referendum in an environment conductive to real peace and public security so that in that same manner to give legality to the decision of the citizens of Crimea,
3. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
