Brazil’s Silva accused of being “maximum commander” of the Petrobras corruption scandals

RIO DE JANEIRO.-  The judicial arms are closing in on Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. For the first time, the Brazilian authorities, who are part of the corruption investigation involving the state-owned oil company, Petrobras, has accused the ex-president (2003-2010) of being the main leader in the bribe scheme which prevailed in the oil company.

“Lula was the highest ranked commander of the corruption scheme in Petrobras”, said Deltan Dallagno, the coordinator of the prosecutors in the so called Car Wash Investigation, during a press release in Curitiba, where the investigations that have been staggering Brazil’s political and corporate world for over two years have been focused.
