The first unit was spent writing about an artifact and about how it made the viewer/reader/observer feel. I wrote about a short video titled “history of everything, i guess.” Large portions of the writing was dedicated towards how the author used pathos, logos and ethos to convey the message. In addition, i also discussed how the author used other literary tools to further more express him self. The word length gradually increased over time. To create more words, i went into more dept of concepts i mentioned earlier. In any case we also edited the paper through multiple revisions.
The major themes in unit one was message was use of literary tools by creators to convey messages. This was expressed by most people in the class and within their papers.
The tropes in “history of everything i guess” are progress and its exponential acceleration as time moves on. In the genre of educational videos, the tropes include use of dates and times to make clear the event and progression of history.
In the beginning of the video, the authors question how did this all happen, and where did we come from. This serves as a metaphor for humans and their constant need to think and explore things they don’t know.
Well i believe almost everyone in the world will ask themselves why am i here and what is the purpose of life. The video answers the question of why a i here from a general accepted scientific and historic point of view.
