Doctors Offer Practical Advice on How to Deal with Extreme Temperatures

Recently we have been experiencing record-breaking cold weather in large parts of the United States, even though the temperature has been rising the last few days, as we’re starting the winter season we need to prepare for the next extreme cold weather.

In fact, doctors say that the freezing temperatures could represent a health risk. “It is best to limit outdoor activities since being exposed for a long time could lead hypothermia”, said Dr. John Marshall, Chair of Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. “Both situations could be serious, and if not treated could potentially be fatal”.
