Protestantes cerca del Puente George Washington piden a Christie que renuncie si tenia conocimiento de los planes de clausura de carriles

FORT LEE- Miembros de una organización nacional de preferencia-Demócrata se unieron a los residentes del norte de Nueva Jersey quienes estuvieron atrapados en septiembre en el desastre de trafico por la clausura de carriles en el puente George Washington para pedir al gobernador Chris Christie su renuncia si acontece que el estaba involucrado en el incidente.

 

“Queremos la respuesta de porque esto sucedió, y si el gobernador estaba involucrado, el debería de renunciar,” dijo Robert Tessaro, 37, de Fort Lee, dueño de un negocio pequeño que se encontró atascado en trafico el primer día de la clausura.

 

“El puente es parte de Fort Lee, es parte de quienes somos. Pero fue utilizada como una arma en contra de nosotros,” dijo Tessaro. “Muchos de mis amigos y familiares no pudieron llegar a sus trabajos. Ellos no pudieron llegar a la escuela.”

 

Investigadores están mirando si la clausura fue por motivación política, en represalia al alcalde de Fort Lee por no apoyar la re-elección de Christie, o por retribución hacia otra persona por otra razón.

 

Participantes en la conferencia de noticias del mediodía se reunieron sobre un acantilado situado en el puente de Fort Lee, donde calles del pueblo estuvieron obstruidas por horas durante la hora pico de la mañana y la tarde horas de la semana del 9 de septiembre del 2013, cuando dos de tres carriles de acceso local fueron ordenadas a desviarse por el acceso principal del puente por un oficial respaldado por Christie en el Puerto de Autoridad de Nueva York y Nueva Jersey.

 

El grupo que organizo el evento, un comité de acción política de preferencia-Demócrata conocidos como el Comité de Campaña de Cambio Progresiva, crearon una pagina web: ChristieResing.com donde dice que 13,000 personas habían firmado una petición en línea llamando al gobernador Republicano a resignar si se revela que el sabia de las clausuras de antemano. La Alianza de Familias Trabajadoras de Nueva Jersey, un grupo de labor, medio ambiente y comunidad también tomaron parte en el evento.
