Homer Simpson Gets Into the “Selfie”

Matt Groening, creator of “The Simpsons,” uses Ellen DeGeneres’s idea to create his own version with his classic dark humor

The historic “selfie” that Ellen DeGeneres introduced during the Oscars continues to provide a huge hit. It has been the talk of debate on television programs, newsletters, and radio time. An irresistible bash in which the creator of “The Simpsons” has also gotten into where he used the photo of Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, and others to recreate the scene with Homer Simpson in it.

In his drawing appear the same characters and the father of the family from the city of Springfield being kicked by Cooper while they take the photo in order to cast him out of being in the image and with the dark humor characteristic from the legendary series of Fox. The event was also posted onto Twitter with the same concept of continuing the tendencies of “retweeting,” something that DeGeneres started on Sunday which broke a record with more than three million retweets.

The popular photograph has not only been recreated by Groening. There is also a version with doodles of Lego circulating around the web in addition to other recreations where DeGeneres charged herself with sharing with her followers of cancer-sick children, posing in the same manner in which the Hollywood stars did in the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Homer Appears in the “Selfie”

Matt Groening, creator of  “The Simpsons” takes advantage of Ellen DeGeneres’ idea to create his own version with his classic dark humor.

The historic selfie, which was proposed by Ellen DeGeneres during the Oscars Gala, continues a massive game. It has been a topic of debate on television programs, news bulletins, and radio broadcasting, an uncontrollable party in which also the creator of the Simpsons has joined using the photos of Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, and company to recreate the scene with Homer Simpson in it.

In his drawing, appears the same people and the father of the family of the tribe of Springfield being kicked by Bradley Cooper while they are taking a picture, in order to avoid slipping in the picture and with the dark humor characterizing the legendary series on FOX. The occurrence was also posted on Twitter, with the idea of continuing the trend of retweeting something that DeGeneres began on Sunday, beating a record with more than three million reposts.

The popular photo has not only been recreated by Groening. There is also a version with Lego models circulating on the internet, as well as many other replicas as the same as the one DeGeneres was commissioned to share with her followers of a few child cancer patients, posing the same way as the stars of Hollywood did in the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

It has been a topic of debate on television programs, informational radio stations, an overwhelming party to which the creator of “The Simpsons” has joined as well, who used the picture of Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence and company to recreate the scene with Homer Simpson in it.

In his drawing the same characters appear along with the father of the family tribe from Springfield being kicked by Cooper while the picture is being taken, to prevent Homer from ruining the image with his characteristic black humor of Fox’s larger than life series. The happening was posted on Twitter with the idea of continuing with the tendency of “retweets”, started on Sunday by DeGeneres, breaking a record of more than 3 millions retweets.

The popular picture not only inspired Groening’s creation. Also, there is a version with the Lego puppets circulating through out the web, in addition to many other replicates like the one that DeGeneres shared with her followers with kids suffering from cancer, posing in the same way the stars of Hollywood did at Dolby Theater of Los Angeles.
