Doctors Give Tips to Deal with Extreme Low Temperatures

Washington, D.C.- We have just experienced a record cold weather which hit most of the U.S., and even though temperatures have risen in the last few days, we are just at the beginning of winter, so we need to get ready for the next wave of extreme cold weather.
In fact, doctors say that polar temperatures can cause health risks. “It is better to limit outdoor activities, due to a long periods of time outdoor can cause frostbite and hypothermia”, said Dr. John Marshall, president of ER of Maimonides Medical Center in New York. “Both situations are dangerous, they can even pose potentially risk of death, if they are no treated.”
