Doctors Offer Useful Advice to Cope With the Extreme Temperatures

Washington D.C.- Recently we have been experiencing record-breaking freezing temperatures that struck a large part of the Unites States, and although the temperatures have risen in the past few days, we have just started the winter and we need to be prepared for the next wave of extreme cold.

Doctors say that the freezing temperatures can pose a health risk. “It is best to limit your outdoor activities since prolonged exposure can produce frostbite and hypothermia,” said Dr. John Marshall, chairman of emergency medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. “Both conditions can be serious and potentially fatal if not treated.”
