Doctors give practical tips on how to deal with extreme temperatures
Recently we have experienced a record-breaking in low temperatures that hit most of the U.S, and even though temperatures have increased the last couple of day this is just the beginning of winter and we need to be prepared for the next cold waves.
In fact, doctors said that the freezing temperatures can lead to health risk. “It is better to limit our activities in the open because long-term exposure could end up in frostbite and hypothermia” said Dr. John Marshall, President of emergency medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. “Both conditions can be serious and lethal if not threated on time”
