We recently experienced a record cold climate which overtook a big part of the United States and although the temperatures have risen over the past few days, we are still beginning winter and we need to be prepared for the following wave of extreme cold.
In fact, doctors say that the frigid temperatures could mean health problems. “It is better to limit ones activities outside given that prolonged exposure can lead to frostbite and hypothermia” said Dr. John Marshall, president of emergency medicine in Maimonides Medical Center in New York. “Both conditions can become serious, even potentially fatal if one does not treat it.”
