 The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a fully-funded overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students. Dear members,

We hope you all enjoyed the Welcome Party. As promised, this Thursday, Sept. 11^th, Baruch Japan Club will be hosting our first Japanese Conversation Class (JCC)!

Not sure what this is? JCC is an event dedicated to providing an environment where both beginners and native speakers can learn and converse in Japanese among peers, no experience needed! The main theme of this JCC will be “Describing People.”

Some activities will include playing the Japanese version of pin the tail on the donkey and drawing a person described in Japanese.  Anyone who is interested is welcome to join us!  This event will be held in our usual room VC 10-165 during club hours (12:45PM to 2:05PM).  Refreshments will be served.  Feel free to invite your friends to come!

Registration has opened for the 2014 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験), which will be given at 15 test sites around the US on Sunday, December 7.

Dear Members,

Baruch Japan Club would like to extend a warm welcome back, to our members.

Starting a new semester can be a bit disorienting after a summer full of free time, the workload is starting to set in and it may seem like the fun of summer is over.  Not to worry Japan Club has just the thing!

This Thursday, September 4, we will be hosting our first event of the year, our Welcome Back Party! We invite both new faces and old to join us as we kick off the year with a brief presentation of our events, delicious Japanese food, interactive games, prizes, and of course the always friendly e-board of Japan Club!
