Dr. Naoko Tosa (Ph.D.), a Japan Cultural Envoy 2016 appointed by the Government of Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, is an international artist whose early artworks have been collected by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Currently, she is a professor at Kyoto University and has been focusing on the intersection between ZEN culture and media arts.
In 2012, she exhibited her digital artwork on a giant LED screen at Yeosu Expo in Korea.
She was a fellow at MIT’s Centre for Advanced Visual Studies which was established by Gyorgy Kepes of Bauhaus.
