RESOBOX is currently seeking an intern interested in Japanese arts and culture or marketing.


JOB DESCRIPTION

RESOBOX, a Japanese cultural space in New York is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a marketing and/or communications intern. You will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s digital marketing plans under our Marketing Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the social media space. You will discuss the strategy and execution with the Marketing Director.

2. Create, manage and grow business presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to: blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest/Instagram, and YouTube.

3. Create, manage, and grow interactive media through discussion with audiences. Your results will then be reported to the Marketing Director. (e.g. conduct survey to the audience through social media and ask questions such as: “What event should we hold next time?”)

4. Regularly update social media accounts and company’s website with relevant content aimed at engaging and prospective audience.

• Facebook (daily)

• Twitter (daily)

• Pinterest / Instagram

• YouTube

• Blogs (provided by writers – about 6 times a month)

• Newsletter (regularly about twice a month)

5. Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

6. Monitor activity of all online communities, identifying trends and addressing issues as they arise.

7. Stay up-to-date on social media/digital marketing trends and new social media technologies, incorporating them into social media marketing plan as appropriate.

EXPERIENCE

• Basic knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms.

• Basic knowledge and strong interest in content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), new technology, and new marketing tactics.

• Proven ability to write effective and engaging written content.

• Passion and interest in learning about Japanese culture.

• Ability to communicate clearly (speaking, writing, reading) in English.

• Basic knowledge of the WordPress website platform and/or HTML and CSS.

• Availability to volunteer and attend RESOBOX events (2-3 times each week)
