This Ad would have formerly said “Got Milk”, but apparently the milk industry is no longer using “Got Milk” and is now dedicating its campaign to educate the public on the high nutritional value of milk.
The Ad posted here shows a father and son (sweet), inside a circle splash of milk. The print reads:
— You need power to teach him how to fly.
— Power your day with the protein in milk
–There’s the campaign slogan “Milk Life” followed by the tag “What gives us strength”
–A website, FuertesConLeche.com is listed.
The website takes you to the Milk Processors Spanish website where it’s sharing the purpose of the Milk Life campaign. It’s especially interesting to see that it’s trying to tell Spanish speaking consumers that Milk will help them get the maximum out of life, ergo to “Milk Life”. When we are saying that we are squeezing the last drop of enjoyment out of something, many use the milking analogy. That’s what the ad seems to be targeting.
The American Ad isn’t saying these words, but implying it. This Ad which I obtained from a magazine that emphasizes healthy lifestyles, emphasizes the “Goal” of achieving greatness a the top of the ad it states ” Kelly O’Hara (Pro soccer player) –Built With –Chocolate Milk”. The website, BuiltWithChocolateMilk.com takes you to a site with a heavy emphasis on sports and in big letters, “Train like a champion”, “High quality protein”.
Milk processors is now competing with other milks, like Almond milk and protein drinks which have been touted as helping in training for sports, or a active lifestyles.
