Cultural Vistas Fellowship

 

The Cultural Vistas Fellowship affords underrepresented U.S. university students the unique opportunity to advance their career goals, develop global competencies, and experience life in another culture. Cultural Vistas will select up to 12 fellows to take part in a multinational professional development program that includes an eight-week summer internship in Argentina, Germany, or India. The theme for summer 2017 is Civic Engagement and Youth Involvement.

The fellowship is fully funded and will include: program-related round-trip travel expense; travel to New York City for pre-departure and re-entry seminars; internship placement in Argentina, Germany, or India; accommodations throughout program; virtual learning seminar; pre-departure support services; cultural orientation upon arrival in host country; visa application support; and emergency medical insurance during internship phase.

Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university, between the age of 18-30, and a rising junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Candidates should have no formal prior work or study abroad experiences and have proficiency in the host country language for Germany and Argentina. English is suitable for the program to India.
