Student-Faculty Research and Service Travel Grant, AY 2014-15

Student-Faculty Research and Service Travel Grant, AY 2014-15: Open to any Baruch student and faculty member, regardless of rank, the Valentín Lizana y Parragué Travel Grant aims to encourage research-related and/or service-related  travel to other parts of the U.S. and, in some cases, abroad for up to $5,000.   Student-faculty pairs or small groups of students and a faculty member are encouraged to apply by submitting the following:  A one-page description of the proposed research project and how it would benefit from traveling to a particular location; the CV of the faculty member who will be guiding the student(s); the name(s) of the student(s) participating; and a budget and timeline for travel.    The grant especially encourages research related to issues of race, class, and social justice.  To be considered for this grant the faculty member would have to submit the above mentioned materials by  May 15, 2014.  Funds from this grant could also be used in conjunction with other Baruch or outside funding.  Please send all materials to:  Ana.Ramos-Zayas@baruch.cuny.edu and anamabec@gmail.com.   Sponsored by the Valenín Lizana y Parragué Endowed Chair.
