The two points that escaped from Camp Nou against Atlético were perhaps the least concern at Barça stadium during the match against Los Colchoneros. Messi’s hands on his groin ignited fear in Barça fans; they felt the pain of their star. The game at Ciudad Condal ended in a tie, and considering the skills that each team played, perhaps it was not a surprise.

After seeing Barcelona’s performance in the first half, few expected the subsequent events: Blaugrana monopolized the ball, they enclosed Atlético Madrid and would not let Simeone a breath, he only managed to do so when he returned to the locker room.

Barça’s recoveries occurred near their opponent’s goal. Piqué acted as an extra midfielder being that the opponents did not cross the midfield line or the sidelines with Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto as the real threats. The Camp Nou was filled with joy and Atlético did not know where the wind was blowing.

Atlético Madrid Ties With Barça

The two points that escaped from Camp Nou against Atlético Madrid were perhaps the least of Barcelona’s worries during the match. Messi’s expression and hands on his groin rang the alarm throughout the stadium as fans felt the superstar’s pain. Barça did not overcome the tie and considering each team’s efforts, maybe it was not that big of a surprise.

Watching the soccer game that Barcelona played during the first half, few expected what happened next. The Blaugrana monopolized the ball, surrounded Atleti in their area and did not let them breathe, Simone only caught his breath when he returned to the locker room.

Barcelona’s recovery happened near the rival’s front-end. Piqué almost played like another midfielder as he noticed that the rival was not crossing the division and the right and left-backs Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto were a real threat. Camp Nou were enjoying themselves and Atlético didn’t know which way the wind was blowing.

El equipo femenino de los Estados Unido empezó el partido amistoso perdiendo contra Holanda este domingo por la noche en el estadio Georgia Dome en Atlanta. Pero las americanas recuperaron su forma para la victoria de 3-1

Jugando a su reputación con un poder Europeo creciente, Holanda tuvo una ventaja temprana cuando Shanice van de Sanden interceptó un rebote a media cancha. Corriendo detrás de la línea defensiva, le gana a la arquera Alyssa Naeher desde las 12 yardas para acertar el primer gol a sólo 2 minutos del partido.

Los Estados Unidos se reagruparon y se reenfocaron, usando presiones continua para crear oportunidades de meter gol. La intensidad valió la pena cuando Tobin Heath se llevó a una defensa al lado derecho del área de meta y dio un pase perfecto a Carli Lloyd que después hizo gol para empatar el partido 1-1 en el minuto 35. Este era el gol número  94 en la carrera de Lloyd en 230 partidos internacionales y su cuarto de la semana después que anotó su séptima triplete de su carrera jueves por la noche contra Tailandia.

Atlético’s Correa didn’t let Barça off that easily

Even though Camp Nou let two points get away in the game versus Atlético, that was the least of the worries for Barça fans in the clash against the colchoneros. Seeing Messi with his hands around his waist and a face full of concern is what alarmed the grada culé, who felt the same pain that their star player felt. The game that took place in the city of Barcelona ended up in a tie. However that was not much of a surprise after witnessing the level of skill that both teams displayed.

Many people didn’t expect the end results after watching Barcelona’s great performance in the first 45 minutes of the game. The azulgrana dominated the ball and trapped the other team in their half of the field. Atlético Madrid didn’t have a chance to breathe and Simeone was only able to relax once back at the locker rooms.

Culés’ ball recoveries took place in the front of the opponent’s area. Pique who acted as a midfield player, made sure that their rivals couldn’t cross the dividing line. While in the sidelines Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto were excellent wingbacks. Camp Nou had a good time and Atlético wondered where the stroke of luck was coming from.

El equipo de fútbol femenino de E.E.U.U. logra su segunda victoria consecutiva.

La selección femenina de fútbol de E.E.U.U. se encontraba en desventaja durante su encuentro amistoso con su contraparte de Holanda, el que se jugó en el estadio Georgia Dome en Atlanta, pero las estadounidenses lograron recuperarse para lograr una victoria récord de 3-1.

Haciendo honor a su reputación de nueva potencia del fútbol europeo, las  holandesas tomaron la delantera desde temprano cuando Shanice van de Sanden aprovechó una bola rechazada por su defensa que llegó a la media cancha. Acelerando detrás de la última línea defensiva del equipo americano le gano el juego a la arquera Alyssa Naeher para lograr el 1-0 a tan solo dos minutos del comienzo del juego.

El equipo estadounidense se repuso y concentró de una forma implacable en crear oportunidades de goles. La intensidad dio resultados cuando Tobin Heath escabullo un pase a través de la defensa hacia el lado derecho del área de penal creando un espacio perfecto para  Carli Lloyd, quien anoto el primer gol para empatar 1-1 al minuto 35. La anotación fue la numero 94 en la carrera de Lloyd en 230 juegos internacionales y el cuarto de la semana  después de anotar el séptimo hat trick de su carrera el jueves pasado contra Tailandia.

La U.S. WNT logra ganar un segundo amistoso consecutivo

El domingo por la noche, a principios del partido la selección femenina de EE.UU. se encontraba perdiendo frente a Países Bajos en el Georgia Dome de Atlanta, pero las estadounidenses recobraron su forma para llevarse la victoria de 3-1.

Jugando su reputación como una potencia europea emergente, Holanda llevó la delantera cuando Shanice van de Sanden corrió hacia la pelota que se encontraba libre en el mediocampo. Con el balón en su poder corriendo a toda velocidad, logró pasar el área de defensa y vencer a la portera Alyssa Naeher, anotando así el primer gol desde 12 metros fuera a tan solo 2 minutos del partido.  

Usando una presión incesante en su oponente, las de las barras y las estrellas se juntaron y concentraron para crear oportunidades de anotar. La intensidad valió la pena cuando Tobin Heath esquivó al defensor por la derecha en el área de penalti e hizo un pase perfecto a Carli Lloyd quien mandó para adentro la pelota y así llegó el empate al minuto 35. Su gol fue el numero 94 dentro de su carrera profesional en 230 partidos internacionales y el cuarto de la semana después de haber hecho el séptimo hat trick de su carrera en el partido frente a Tailandia el jueves por la noche.

The two points that escaped the Camp Nou against Atletico might have been the least worrisome for Can Barça during the clash against Los Colchoneros. Messi’s hands on his groin and his worried expression alarmed Barça fans, who felt the same pain their star player did. It didn’t happen because of the tie in the Cuidad Condal but seeing the intensity with which both teams played, perhaps it’s not so strange.

Seeing the soccer performance that Barcelona put on during the first half, few expected the subsequent events. The Blaugrana monopolized the ball, enclosed on Atletico Madrid in their goal area and did not let a play by Simeone – who only caught his breath when he returned to the locker room – take place.

The culés recovered near the front of their opponents’ goal, as Pique acted almost like another midfielder as he made sure the opponent didn’t cross the sidelines as Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto became real threats. Camp Nou enjoyed the moment while Atletico didn’t know what direction to go in.

Mujeres de EE.UU. ganan segundo partido amistoso consecutivo de fútbol

El equipo femenil de EE.UU se encontró detrás muy temprano en el partido amistoso en
contra de Holanda el domingo por la tarde en el “Georgia Dome” de Atlanta,  pero las americanas se recuperaron para registrar una victoria de 3-1.

Manteniendo su reputación como una potencia europea emergente, Holanda rápido tomo la delantera cuando Shanice van de Sanden corrió tras un claro balón largo en el centro del campo. Corriendo detrás de la defensa de EE.UU. venció a la portera Alyssa Naeher uno a uno a 12 metros fuera  para poner el marcador 1–0 a solo dos minutos de  partido.

Estados Unidos se tranquilizó y reoriento, utilizando la presión incesante para crear oportunidades de gol. La intensidad rindió frutos cuando Tobin Heath se escabullo pasando a una  defensa hacia el área derecha de penales e hizo un pase perfecto a Carli Lloyd, quien enterró su tiro para empatar el partido 1-1 en el minuto 35. Fue el gol número 94 de Lloyd en 230 partidos internacionales y el cuarto de la semana tras apuntar el séptimo ‘hat-trick’ de su carrera el jueves en la tarde contra Tailandia.

Messi’s hands on his pelvis and his gesture of concern inflamed the Barcelonan crowd as they felt the pain of their star. There was no draw at home stadium and looking at the weapons each team played with, maybe it wasn’t so weird.
Looking at the super soccer performance that Barcelona shown during the first half, few waited for the subsequent event. The Azulgrana monopolized the ball, they buried the Atlántico of Madrid in their home and wouldn’t let coach Simeone breath, only when he returned to the changing room he was able to breathe again.
The Cules recovery started near the front of the rival zone. Piqué was almost a midfielder seeing that the rivals weren’t crossing the division line and that the right and left backs, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto, were the real threat. Camp Nou was joyful, while the Atlántico’s didn’t know where the air was blowing.
