December 12, 2013 marks the 110th anniversary of Yasujiro Ozu’s birth and the 50thanniversary of his passing. Japan Society is celebrating the late master with a screening of his moving late period family drama Late Autumn, which is part of our ongoing film series in honor of the late writer/critic Donald Richie.
To make it a birthday party, we are hosting a raffle of great Ozu prizes for all ticketholders, including exclusive commemorative materials from Shochiku, as well as a special reception afterwards.
