Japan Society Film is very excited to announce our upcoming New York premiere screening ofNUCLEAR NATION II in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of 3/11.

This follow-up to director Atsushi Funahashi’s critically-acclaimed 2012 documentary continues his investigation into the aftermath of the 3/11 Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown by following a community of displaced people from Futaba who continue to live in temporary housing.

We are inviting director Funahashi to present his powerful documentary and discuss the ongoing recovery situation through a post-screening Q&A.

I hope you will consider helping us spread the word about this screening on your website, social media accounts or through your classes! Every bit helps and is sincerely appreciated, and I personally believe your readership will be very interested in this screening.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Dai Sato has written scripts for highly acclaimed television series and films including Samurai Champloo, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Cowboy Bebop. QC-Summer 2016 Study Abroad

There is no better—or more enjoyable—way of learning about the world than through travel. In fact, Queens College

encourages all students to leave New York City at some point in their academic careers, whether or not they speak

a foreign language; many classes are offered in English. Study Abroad options range from relatively short summer

and winter intersession courses to programs that last a semester or two. Programs are open to all undergraduate

students from all CUNY campuses (unless restricted by level of study, language fluency, or other program criteria).

There is travel on Fridays and some Saturdays for some programs.
